String Case Converter

Convert text between camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case and more.

Frequently asked questions

Which case should I use where?
JavaScript: camelCase variables, PascalCase classes. Python: snake_case. CSS/HTML attributes and Git: kebab-case. SQL: snake_case. This tool covers all of them.
How are unusual separators handled?
Input is split on spaces, underscores, hyphens and case boundaries, so "my_var" and "myVar" both become "my var" — converting between any two styles is always safe.
How are acronyms such as HTTPResponse handled?
Words are split on separators and on lower-to-upper boundaries, but a run of capitals is not split from the following word. "HTTPResponse" therefore becomes a single word; write "HTTP_Response" or "HTTP Response" if you want the acronym kept separate.
Does it preserve my original capitalization?
No — conversion is case-insensitive by design. Input is lowercased first, then rebuilt in each target style, so "MyVar" and "my_var" produce identical results.
Can I convert several identifiers at once?
Each conversion treats the whole input as one sequence of words, so multiple lines are merged into a single result. Convert identifiers one at a time when you need individual outputs.

About this tool

Different languages and file types expect different naming conventions: JavaScript variables use camelCase, Python and SQL use snake_case, CSS classes and URLs use kebab-case, and types use PascalCase. This converter finds word boundaries in your input and rewrites it in every common style at once, so you can compare and copy the one you need. Everything runs locally in your browser — no sign-up and no upload.

How to use it
