IP Lookup

Look up your IP address and its location, ISP and ASN.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the data come from?
Your address is fetched from api.ipify.org, then geolocated by ipwho.is. Both are free public services — no account needed. (Still no data is sent to this site's own servers: the site itself is fully static.)
How accurate is the location?
IP geolocation is based on ISP routing, not GPS — it typically pinpoints the country and often the city, but can be off by many kilometres, especially with VPNs.
Why does the location look wrong when I use a VPN or proxy?
Geolocation follows the exit address of your connection. With a VPN, that is the VPN server, not your physical location. Mobile carriers can also route traffic through a different city, so IP-based locations are approximate by nature.
Does this site store my IP address?
The tool has no backend of its own: requests go from your browser to public lookup services, which see the same connection information any website receives. Your lookup history is not saved by this page.
What is an ASN?
An Autonomous System Number identifies a network operated by one organization, such as an ISP, university or cloud provider. It is useful for understanding routing, abuse reports and why an address is associated with a particular company.

About this tool

IP Lookup shows the public IP address your browser is using, together with its approximate location, network provider and autonomous system number. The page itself is static; the lookup is performed by public geolocation services, and results are cached briefly to keep repeat lookups fast.

How to use it

  1. Open the page — your public IP is looked up automatically.
  2. Review the address, country, region, city, ISP and ASN details.
  3. Enter another IP address and press Enter or the lookup button to inspect it.
  4. Treat city-level results as approximate, especially when a VPN is active.
