QR Code Generator
Generate QR codes from text or URLs — with custom styles, eyes, colors and logos.
Frequently asked questions
- What can I put in a QR code?
- URLs, Wi-Fi credentials (WIFI:T:WPA;S:mynet;P:secret;;), plain text, vCard contacts — anything up to about 4 KB of text.
- How do I choose the error correction level?
- Higher levels survive more damage or logo overlay: L recovers 7% of data, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30%. Smaller codes at high levels hold less data.
- Can I make a personalized or artistic QR code?
- Yes — pick dots, rounded or liquid-connected modules, style the finder eyes, use a gradient, an independent eye color, a centre logo, or an image fill that colors the modules from a photo. Every combination stays scannable: colors are clamped for contrast and the eyes stay solid.
- Do the artistic options still scan reliably?
- Yes. Module size is kept at full scale, the finder eyes stay solid, logo usage raises error correction, and image-derived colors are clamped for contrast. Use the Test scan button to verify the exact code before publishing it.
- Which export format should I choose?
- SVG is vector and stays sharp at any print size, PNG is convenient for screens and documents, and GIF adds animation for digital displays. Transparent backgrounds work in PNG and SVG; GIF exports stay opaque for compatibility.
About this tool
QR codes store short text, URLs, Wi-Fi credentials and contact cards in a square matrix that phones can scan. This generator renders codes locally, supports presets for common payloads, and adds artistic options — module shapes, custom eyes, gradients, logos, image fills and animated GIF export — while keeping the code scannable.
How to use it
- Choose a preset or enter the text or URL to encode.
- Pick the error-correction level; higher levels tolerate more damage and logo coverage.
- Style the modules, eyes, colors, logo or image fill to match your brand.
- Use Test scan to confirm the result, then download PNG, SVG or GIF.
